Riyad Joucka Is an Architect and Researcher, currently based in New York City.
He worked in Hong Kong from 2012- 2014 between academia and practice on his research, which is focused on simplifying the nonlinear logistics of complex building construction. He is particularly interested in design that is at the intersection of material research and computation.

Riyad earned his Master of Architecture at the Emergent Technologies & Design programme of the AA School of Architecture (London, UK) 2012. His thesis HYBIOS earned a ‘Thesis Distinction’.
He has taught architectural design workshops in Paris, Penang, Shanghai, Tehran, and directed AA Visiting School Jordan. He is the current director of the annual AA Visiting School Dubai which is held in collaboration with the AA and the Expo 2020 committee.

Mission Statement

The agenda of the work shown in this website is geared towards simplifying the complication involved with constructing complex architectonics of different scales.

The methodology of this work, ventures back and forth through the materialization of qualitative morphologies, and their quantitative analysis through computational digital models.
